Birflo

The Birflo range of valves is used specifically for flow control of water based media, using two main valve types, Constaflo and Truflo. Valves for:

• Noise suppression
• Management of cooling systems

The Birflo products are designed and manufactured to the highest specification using top quality materials.  Products are available depending on the application and environment.  As an example, the Constaflo and Truflo ranges are available in commercial, industrial and marine versions to suit the prevailing conditions.  Marine versions of the Truflo and Constaflo valves are in use on many NATO warships. 

The Constaflo is a water flow controller using a patented device that ensures the maintenance of flow rates within +/- 10% of its rated capacity, when operating within the limits of temperature and pressure specified.

The Truflo valve is a protective flow switch, and functions by diaphragm action bought about by a change in differential pressure created by a flow through a calibrated nozzle. The movement of this diaphragm is used to operate a micro-switch that is used to directly control the flow.
